Just for fun I attempted putting these into numerical order just from the accumulated data you’ve put on the net. Delete the comment if you want but tell me if you think I’m close or where I went wrong. The Must-Watches were easy except the last two had same score that I had to guess.
    1. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – N/A (told me is your favorite multiple times)
    2. Anohana – 9.5 (10 on your MAL)
    3. Code Geass – 9.5 (9 on your MAL)
    4. Attack on Titan – 9 (or Fate Zero)
    5. Fate Zero – N/A (or Attack on Titan)
The Highly Recommended ones were a lot harder. I really see what you mean now, by the amount of 8.5 scores you give you really are selective with what anime you give 9s and up.
    6. Kokoro Connect – 9
    7. Toradora – 8.5 (guessed from the first anime you recommended me)
    8. Accel Word – 8.5 (guessed from your comment comparing it to SAO)
    9. Angel Beats – 8.5 (guessed from your taste in music)
    10. Another/Nagi no Asukara/Zetsu no Tempest/SAO
(For the last one I have no idea as they all have the same score on both MAL and here)

So how do you think I did? Any of those below you particularly like more than those I guessed above them? Any I missed out entirely?

I do think of FMA:B as my favorite but I really need to go back and watch it again to be sure…it’s been far too long for me to be confident in my previous evaluation of it, especially considering that I was not reviewing at that point. The same is true of Toradora and Angel Beats.

Probably about right for the other must-watches. I’d probably put Fate/Zero above AoT just because of my love of the Fate franchise.

It certainly does get hazier after that, though Kokoro Connect is probably in the right place. Anyways, after Kokoro Connect would probably be Zetsuen no Tempest (damn that second season =/), Nagi no Asukara, Another and Accel World, until such a time as I can watch the rest of SAO and rewatch those other series.

Okay, I’m just making a list of my friend’s top 10s to find some correlations on what to show my flatmate next. So for you so far from 1-10 it’s; FMA:B, Anohana, Code Geas, Fate Zero, Attack on Titan, Kokoro Connect, Zetsuen no Tempest, Nagi no Asukura, Another, Accel World…. and leaving Angel Beats and Toradora currently out of your top 10 for now?
This good for his recommendation considering he hates touchy-feely and ‘japanessness’.

    • Silvachief says:

There’s a little bit of room for movement after AoT but yeah, that’s pretty much right. It’s such a shame that Zetsuen no Tempest deteriorated so badly in its second season or I would say he would like it. By your description, I wouldn’t recommend him Anohana, Kokoro Connect, Nagi no Asukara or Accel World from that list.

      • Lazarinth says:

Yeah, I was planning on showing him a few episodes of Zetsuen after we finish Gankutuou. Has it got a dub yet?

        • Silvachief says:

It does not currently have a dub. Considering there has been an undubbed Western release, it’s unlikely it will ever happen.

          • lazarinth says:

Well that sucks, he’s kind of a dub only watcher… which leaves out Kara no Kyoukai and anything new for that matter. Still might try it though, just to see if he can get over it?
You ever heard of the anime called number 6? My mate is adamant that I watch it.

            • Silvachief says:

(If you reply to this one start a new comment)
I started off only watching dubs and refusing to watch subs. I can’t remember what broke the trend but i’m glad it did; I don’t think anyone starts watching subs and regrets it.
I hadn’t heard of it but it looks decent enough to watch so i’ll grab it. Probably won’t get around to it for a while though.
